(EAST HAVEN, Conn.) — Three people are missing and feared dead after a small plane crash in Connecticut.
The small turbo prop plane took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and was on its way to New Haven, Conn., when it crashed into two houses in East Haven on approach to Tweed New Haven Regional Airport on Friday.
“Both homes were fully involved when we pulled up,” said East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo.
“There appears to be one person in the airplane and two people who were in the home,” Maturo said, adding that the two are believed to be a 1-year-old and a 13-year-old.
“We are doing everything we possibly can for the mom,” Maturo said.
There were no distress calls prior to the crash.
