(NEW YORK) — Conde Nast Traveler has released a list of America’s friendliest and unfriendliest cities, according to its annual Reader’s Choice Survey.

In the friendliest category, Charleston, S.C.’s southern hospitality landed the sunny and colorful city the number one slot. Three other southern cities- Savannah, Ga.; Asheville, N.C. and Austin, Texas- also made the top five.

Newark, N.J. topped the charts of the unfriendliest cities. One reader said, “I visited Newark on business and would not recommend this city for anything, except a cheaper/less busy airport to fly into while visiting other cities.”

The top ten unfriendliest list also features four cities from the Golden state- Oakland, Calif.; Los Angeles; Anaheim, Calif. and Sacramento, Calif.
