(NEW YORK) — Several people were treated for injuries Monday after a Southwest plane at New York’s LaGuardia Airport experienced complications while landing, according to the airport’s operations center.

The landing gear on Southwest Airlines flight 345, a Boeing 737 arriving at LaGuardia from Nashville, apparently collapsed shortly after touching down on the runway, authorities said Monday. The aircraft skidded down the runway on its nose before veering off and coming to a rest in a grass area.

The plane’s 150 passengers and crew slid down the emergency chutes after the aircraft finally came to a stop. Several were treated at the scene for minor injuries, while six people were transported to a nearby hospital.

Airport officials closed LaGuardia Airport to all arriving flights immediately after the incident. The airport reopened after about an hour. Both the FAA and the NTSB are investigating the incident.
