SANFORD–Scattered showers Thursday did not hamper July Fourth festivities locally. There were plenty of activities including cookouts, family reunions, musical entertainment and just visiting with family and friends. Many hot dogs were eaten and even fireworks could be heard and seen throughout the evening. The community fireworks show and celebration was rescheduled for Sunday at the Ammons farm due to soggy soil.
