(PHILADELPHIA) — The lead inspector of a four-story building that collapsed in Philadelphia last week is dead of an apparent suicide.
Sources tell ABC News the 52-year-old man was found dead in his pickup truck, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The collapse on June 5 killed six people and left 13 others injured.
According to city records, the most recent inspection of the building happened less than a month before the collapse. No issues were reported.
The inspector, who has not been identified, didn’t leave behind a note, but sources say he sent his wife a text message before he killed himself.
