Florida Georgia Line‘s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard turned out to be pretty valuable players at the 23rd annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge Saturday morning in Nashville. The duo scored multiple runs for their team to bring home a win. Brian’s experience playing high school and college baseball may have something to do with the victory.
“It was good to be back out there, but baseball and softball are a lot different,” he explains. “The name of the game is wait on that pitch. Wait, wait, wait, and I didn’t do a good job of that today. But I played some good ‘D’ for sure.”
Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Brett Eldredge and American Idol runner-up Kree Harrison were among the other stars on the field Saturday. The MVP trophy went to newcomer Maggie Rose. Proceeds go to the City of Hope to support its continued fight against cancer.
