(NORTH CHESTERFIELD, Va.) — At least three people were killed in a multi-vehicle accident along Interstate 77 South, which is near the Virginia/North Carolina border on Sunday.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said, “Due to excessive fog in the area of Fancy Gap mountain, which is where the crashes are taking place, there have been at least 75 vehicles involved in the crashes.”

“Approximately 25 other individuals have been transported to other nearby hospitals,” Geller added.
