On the most recent season of The Voice, Blake Shelton tapped his pal Michael Buble to help mentor his team. This year, he’s going with another Grammy-winning star: Sheryl Crow.
Entertainment Tonight reported the casting choice, and Sheryl tells ET that she’s “honored” to be chosen by Blake, with whom she’s been friends “for a few years now.” As for Blake, he tells ET, “Sheryl Crow is one of the coolest people in the music industry and to have her as an adviser on my team is pretty darn cool.” The new season premieres March 25.
On the first two seasons of The Voice, Blake’s mentors included Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, and his own wife, Miranda Lambert. So far, Usher is the only other coach who’s announced a mentor for the upcoming season: it’ll be artist and producer Pharrell Williams. Shakira and Adam Levine have yet to reveal their picks.
