CHATHAM COUNTY–Family and friends gathered at the boat ramp at Avents Ferry Monday evening for a candlelight vigil for four victims of a horrendous crash in Broadway early Saturday morning. The couples were headed home from an evening at the Tikki Lounge in Jonesboro when the driver lost control, ran off the road, hit a mail box, trees and a house and the car burst into flames, burning the four beyond recognition. The vigil was not about the circumstances surrounding their deaths, but about the good people that they were. Both couples leave small children behind.
