Blake Shelton has a new co-host for this year’s ACM Awards, but 25,000 tweets have to go out about it before the Academy of Country Music announces the co-host’s name and the show date.  Fans can go to ACMCountry.com to send a tweet to help get to the 25,000 mark that unlocks the information.  The ACM expects to hit that milestone either this weekend or early next week.

While Blake won’t reveal the identity of his new co-host just yet, he promises this person is a “fan favorite.”  The mystery co-host’s popularity has Blake feeling a little threatened too.

He says, “I’m starting to feel the pressure of this person’s stardom creeping up into my territory, and I’m hoping to use this opportunity as co-hosting with this person to completely disrupt and derail this person’s career.”

The 48th Annual ACM Awards will air this spring on CBS.
