Music City has become something of a restaurant hotspot lately, with trendy Nashville eateries like City House and The Catbird Seat getting national press for their adventurous menus. Taylor Swift prefers a more classic dining experience, though, pointing to the Capitol Grille in Nashville’s Hermitage Hotel as her favorite restaurant in town.

“I took my parents there for Mother’s Day this year, and it had this old-school, back-in-time vibe to it” Taylor tells Nashville Lifestyles. “Sometimes I think every restaurant is trying to out-hip the others — this one is really classic, and my brother and I were geeking out about the history of the Hermitage Hotel.”

Taylor won’t have a lot of time to hang out in Nashville restaurants in the new year.  She launches The Red Tour this March with special guest Ed Sheeran opening all dates.
