SANFORD–The calendar committee of the Lee County Board of education has suggested a major change.  Board Chairman Lynn Smith announced Tuesday evening during the last meeting of the year, that the committee has recommended moving from the traditional calendar to a year round schedule for pre-k  through eighth grade, and that senior high school students would begin the year earlier and take exams before Christmas.  A public hearing is scheduled January 8 at 5:30 Pm in McLeod Auditorium.
