(SAN FRANCISCO) — A string of nasty storms is barreling through the West Coast.

The first round of drenching rain and powerful winds blew in Wednesday and more of the same is on the way through Sunday.

Forecasters describe it as opening up a giant fire hose nearly 400 miles wide. That means the entire region, from San Francisco to Seattle, is in for a soggy mess.
