Could the Grammy Awards be coming to Nashville soon? Music City is already hosting the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! on CBS December 5, and now the Hollywood Reporter says Nashville is making a play to become the new home of the big show. Nashville mayor Karl Dean has promised the Grammys the city will offset any costs that would make the show cost more to produce in Nashville than it does in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Awards are free to leave Los Angeles after their next broadcast, coming up February 10, 2013. The ceremony was last held in Nashville in 1973.

As for the Grammy Nominations Concert Live!, Taylor Swift is set to co-host the show with L.L. Cool J. The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley are also rumored to be taking part in a tribute to the late Johnny Cash on the program, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
