Kelly Clarkson says without her latest love interest, she probably wouldn’t have recorded her new country single, “Don’t Rush.”  The object of Kelly’s affections happens to be Reba McEntire’s stepson, Brandon Blackstock.

“I’m in a relationship and super happy,” she says, “and I don’t think I would have been able to sing this song eight months ago.  Love should be celebrated, and this is a great description of where I’m at in my life.  This is a couple’s skate, not an all skate song,” she jokes.

“Don’t Rush” is one of three new songs on Kelly’s Greatest Hits-Chapter One CD, out next Tuesday.  Her show-stopping performance with Vince Gill at this month’s CMA Awards will be the music video for the song.
