(WASHINGTON) — With the resignation of David Petraeus as head of the CIA, acting director Michael Morell will take the stand next week to answer questions about the attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. ABC News reports that the sudden change in the witness list is likely not political.
Although Petraeus will not be testify this coming week at the Benghazi hearings, congressional investigators could subpoena Petraeus to come talk if they need clarification about the incident.
Sources also tell ABC News that the four-star General had an affair with Paula Broadwell, who wrote his biography – All In: The Education of General David Petraues.
