Home / Music News / George Jones Cancels Minnesota Concert Due to Virus

George Jones has cancelled a concert date at a Minnesota casino scheduled for this Friday.  He’d been scheduled to play the Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center in Mahnomen.

A statement from his management team posted on the casino’s website reads, “As everyone knows, George has battled with upper respiratory problems all year, which in fact caused the postponement of his show earlier this year.  He has gotten a virus that doctors are treating, but he is unable to perform his weekend at Shooting Star. George apologizes to all his fans for all the inconvenience.”

There are no plans to reschedule the performance.
