SANFORD–This marks the final week for early voting locally and across the state. According to Nancy Kimball, elections supervisor, nearly 8000 votes had been cast at the close of the day Saturday, a day added to alleviate long lines at the two early voting sites. Votes may be cast at the Board of Elections Office on South Steele Street and the McSwain Center on Tramway Road until Saturday, November 3. According to reports, at least 30 voters were in line at closing time on Saturday.
