Lee Brice is nominated for Best New Artist at the CMA Awards November 1, and he’s got some stiff competition in the category going up against Hunter Hayes, Brantley Gilbert, Thompson Square and Love and Theft. All five acts have scored at least one #1 country hit so far in their young careers.
Lee tells TheBoot.com, “I’m all for everybody. I really think the whole format is doing great. It’s just good to see everybody succeeding.”
When asked who he’d like to see win Best New Artist other than himself, Lee points to Brantley.
“He’s a great guy,” Lee admits. “He’s been working hard, he deserves it.”
The 46th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live on ABC November 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
