SANFORD–A large audience participated in a candidate forum Thursday evening and addressed issues ranging from board unity for the good of the county to accusations that the school board is manipulative. Commissioner hopeful Del Pallazo accused Superintendent Jeff Moss and the board of being manipulative when it comes to funding, and many issues were raised concerning a recent audit. Superintendent Jeff Moss and Board member Linda Smith did not take too kindly to the accusations and in a sometimes heated exchanged, asked for proof of the accusations. One voter questioned Amy Dalrymple’s failure to be re-elected after being defeated by Charlie Parks, and many questions were raised concerning the fracking issue. Candidates for County commissioner, 12th Senate district, 51 and 54th House District and opposed judges participated on the forum sponsored by Council For Effective Actions ands Decisions. At one point, Sargeant-At-Arms Robert Reives threatened Kirk Smithith with removal.
