SANFORD–Nearly 1400 votes were cast locally on the first day of early voting for the November 6 General Election.  Election Supervisor Nancy Kimball said she is having to call in more help to keep up with all the new registrations and other matters.  Early voting is being conducted at the McSwain Center on Tramway Road and the Elections Office at 225 South Steele Street.  Early voting will continue Monday through Friday from 8-5 PM until November 3.
