Florida Georgia Line‘s debut single, “Cruise,” has gone gold with 500,000 downloads sold in just five months. The single recently moved 10,000 downloads in just one day. Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley were presented with a gold plaque for “Cruise” while in New York City this week opening for Jake Owen.
Tyler says, “We are just blown away to have earned so many fans already, who are investing in our music.” His duo partner Brian adds, ” We have had so many great opportunities already and for our debut single to go GOLD already…there just aren’t any words!”
Florida Georgia Line isn’t the only country act picking up some heavy metal this fall. Chris Young‘s hit “Tomorrow” has been certified platinum for a million downloads. Love and Theft‘s “Angel Eyes” and Jana Kramer‘s “Why Ya Wanna” have also gone gold. Carrie Underwood‘s fourth album, Blown Away, is now platinum as well.
