Kenny Chesney has signed on to perform at his pal Sammy Hagar‘s annual Birthday Bash in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Friday night.  The event celebrates Sammy’s 65th birthday and takes place at his Cabo Wabo Cantina.  Kenny first played the bash in 2004, and Kenny is “fired up” about this year’s party.

In other Kenny news, six people in his organization took home trophies at the  CMA 2012 SRO Awards honoring music industry personnel.  That number includes his bus driver John Stadler, fiddle player Nick Hoffman, talent agent Mike Betterton, tour manager David Farmer, production manager Ed Wannebo and video director Shaun Silva.

Kenny said after Tuesday night’s SRO ceremony, “I’ve always believed that I worked with the best and tonight just makes me so proud that the industry recognizes their hard work, how much fun we have and all the tireless efforts that goes into bringing the best show we can to the fans every summer!”

Kenny himself is up for CMA Entertainer of the Year at the 46th Annual CMA Awards coming up November 1 on ABC.
