Jason Aldean has designated his October 27 show in Dallas as his seventh annual Concert for the Cure with proceeds going to local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliates. That show is also the final concert of Jason’s 2012 My Kinda Party tour, and more than 20,000 tickets for that date were snatched up in just four minutes.
Jason was first inspired to host his Concert for the Cure after losing a young female friend to breast cancer.
“I ‘m really proud of the money we’ve raised so far, and it feels great to be able to honor our friend who passed away at such an early age from breast cancer,” Jason says. “Everyone has been affected by this disease at some point, and I want to do my part to help find a cure before my daughters grow up.”
Of note, Jason’s My Kinda Party tours in 2011 and 2012 have sold 1.9 million tickets so far.
