Jason Aldean‘s career reached new highs with the success of his last album, My Kinda Party, which was named CMA Album of the Year in 2011.  That set is on its way to hitting the three-million-sales mark, but Jason isn’t worried about matching that success as he gears up to release his new album, Night Train, on October 16.

“I think there’s a lot of other people that are probably putting a lot of pressure on this record more so than I am,” Jason says. “I went in and cut what I felt like was a great album, and I felt like I found great songs.”

The first single from Jason’s new album, “Take a Little Ride,” is on its way to becoming another #1 hit for him, and he’s just waiting to see how fans respond when Night Train comes out.

Jason’s also looking to keep building his career as a touring artist in 2013 after playing a few stadium dates this year.  He says, “If we figure out we can do that on a consistent basis, I mean, obviously that’s huge.”

Even though Jason’s career seems to get bigger each year, he’s still exercising caution when it comes to booking bigger concert venues and releasing new music.

“I don’t wanna get too ahead of myself in any of this stuff,” Jason explains.  “I just kinda want to take my time, make sure that we make all the right decisions and don’t put the cart ahead of the horse.”

Jason continues his My Kinda Party tour with a show in San Diego on Saturday night.
