Jason Aldean is a regular at the top of the country singles chart these days, but he knows that status as the hottest guy on the radio can’t last forever. That’s why Jason is building his touring career based on the model pioneered by Jimmy Buffett.
Jason tells Billboard, “Here’s a guy that hasn’t had a hit in forever, but he’s a prime example of an artist that went out and basically created a market for himself. And now the guy can go play wherever he wants and sell it out.”
Jason’s got a good start on his way to reaching Jimmy Buffett status. His My Kinda Party tour will end up being one of country’s top-grossing tours when 2012 comes to a close. He continues his tour Thursday on Phoenix.
Jason’s new album, Night Train, hits stores October 16 featuring the hit single, “Take a Little Ride.”
