Kenny Chesney‘s new single, “El Cerrito Place,” is off to a big start at radio as the follow up to his #1 hit “Come Over.” The title refers to a street in the Hollywood Hills, but the subject of “El Cerrito Place” echoes the longing for companionship found in “Come Over.”
“The longing of this frustrated, angry, soul-searching emotion this person is feeling… I think it defines a lot of people,” Kenny says of the narrator in “El Cerrito Place.” “I have felt all that emotion, and I’ve lived the song for so long. I just love what it says.”
“El Cerrito Place” is included on Kenny’s gold-selling album Welcome to the Fishbowl.
Now that Kenny’s summer stadium tour is over, look for him to announce a few other fall 2012 performances soon in addition to his September 22 appearance at Farm Aid in Hershey, PA. Kenny is also set to unveil a new package of mobile apps in the coming weeks.
