The Academy of Country Music donated $750,000 to their charitable arm ACM Lifting Lives on behalf of the artists who participated in the taping of the ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends — in Concert special. The money was raised through ticket sales to the show in Las Vegas.
More than 8 million viewers tuned in to the concert’s CBS broadcast last April featuring performances from Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry and Luke Bryan among others.
