Not only did Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan play a show this weekend at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, they also helped win a Major League Baseball game.
You see, the Washington Nationals’ Adam LaRoche had tickets to the show, and after a 2 hour 33 minute rain delay, was getting worried he wouldn’t make it. As the game deadlocked in the tenth inning, he only grew more concerned.
“Honestly, my buddies were in town last night at a concert, so we had to win that game in a hurry or we were going to miss that concert,” LaRoche tells The Washington Times. “There’s my incentive going around the bases.”
“We’re like, ‘We need to go win this game as fast as we can,’” he says. “We had a bus waiting for us, so the whole team could go, so we’re all like, ‘let’s get a W real quick and get out of here.”
In the end, the Nationals notched a 7 to 6 victory Saturday against the Miami Marlins, and made it in time to see Jason and Luke’s turn at bat.
