Home / Local Sanford, NC News / A Moore County woman charged with murder has been brought back for trial


CARTHAGE–Melissa Rovnak has been returned to Moore County to stand trial for the 2002 shooting death of her husband, a murder first thought to be suicide.  Rovnak was living in West Virginia when officers determined that the death was a homicide.  She is being held in the Moore County Detention Center  without privilege of bail.
