You may be wondering why Rascal Flatts is opening up their first themed restaurant in Phoenix instead of Nashville. It turns out the band’s business partners in the deal thought it would be the perfect location to launch the new venture. Plus, guitarist Joe Don Rooney is there a lot for recreational reasons.
Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox tells The Republic newspaper, ” We had a great location, and we love Phoenix. I mean, Lord, Joe Don is so addicted to golf that he flies out there all the time. So we just felt like it was a place that we wanted to be.”
Rascal Flatts actually performs a show in Phoenix Thursday night.
In other Rascal Flatts news, the band’s Changed documentary is coming to DVD this fall. The film premiered in theaters back in April and features in-depth interviews with the band as well as performance clips.
