Little Big Town is teaming up with ConAgra Foods this fall for the Hunger Ends Here campaign. Starting in September, fans can visit the ConAgra Foods Facebook page to see a video of LBT performing the original song “Here’s Hope” in the style of their Web series, “Scattered, Covered and Smothered.” The band will also provide exclusive content on the site and participate in a Q&A session.
The Hunger Ends Here campaign is aimed to drive awareness of childhood hunger in America, where one in five children don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Little Big town and ConAgra hope to get people involved to help put an end to child hunger.
Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet has a personal connection to the cause. He says, “Having gone through difficulties with my own family and growing up in a single-parent household with five siblings, I’ve had first-hand experience with not knowing sometimes where our next meal was coming from. We had to be creative and work together as a team and a family to make ends meet. We could not have done it without the help of friends and our community.”
Phillip encourages fans to learn more about the Hunger Ends Here campaign and find out how they can help. “Our children should never have to wonder where their next meal is coming from,” he says, “and with the passionate work and generosity of everyone involved with ConAgra Foods and this endeavor, hopefully child hunger will one day be a thing of the past.”
In other Little Big Town news, fans can now hear their new album, Tornado, streaming on iTunes. The set comes out September 11 featuring their hit, “Pontoon.”
