Taylor Swift is dishing more details on her upcoming album, Red, due out October 22. As always, Taylor writes about her romantic relationships over the past two years on the project, which she admits has been a roller-coaster ride of emotions.
“Trying to chronicle each step of the way was challenging, because you go to some really dark places in the lyrics,” Taylor tells Rolling Stone. “Then in the next track, you’re talking about how amazing it is to meet somebody new.”
Red also promises to be Taylor’s most musically adventurous album to date, with one song featuring a dubstep-inspired break. The song “State of Grace” is described as in the vein of U2, while Red also includes an acoustic duet with British pop singer Ed Sheeran.
Taylor is also thinking about how to translate the songs on Red into her live show. She hopes to launch a new tour in spring 2013.
As for those rumors that she’s purchased a house in Hyannis, MA near boyfriend Conor Kennedy‘s family compound, Rolling Stone reports Taylor is indeed looking for property there. When asked about purchasing a home in that area, Taylor says, “That would be so amazing.”
