Less than 48 hours after he was cited for simple assault in Plano, TX, a truck registered to Randy Travis was found Saturday morning damaged, tipped over and abandoned in Frisco, TX. The vehicle was located in a field behind a Walmart Neighborhood Market according to the Dallas Morning News.

Travis’s lawyer Larry Friedman says the truck is used on the singer’s ranch, and Randy has not driven the truck in about three months. They do not know who was driving the truck or how it ended up abandoned in Frisco.

Travis was cited for assault for an incident late Thursday night in a Christian school parking lot in Plano, TX. It is believed Travis got in between a confrontation between a man and his girlfriend.

Travis was arrested earlier this month for DUI and making felony threats against officers in Grayson County, TX.  The singer allegedly threatened to shoot and kill troopers who brought him into the station after he was found lying on the road near Tioga, TX. His 1998 Pontiac Trans Am had veered off the road and hit barricades in a construction zone.

Travis was arrested on another DUI charge in February in Sanger, TX when police found him drunk in his car with an open bottle of wine.
