Jake Owen is set to headline the 11th annual CMT on Tour outing kicking off October 10 in New York City.  The trek will be titled Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends 2012 with special guests Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line.  Jake actually appeared on the CMT on Tour bill back in 2007 opening for Sugarland.

Jake says, “Being the headliner of a tour is something I’ve been dreaming about since I was in college, performing songs every Sunday afternoon on a bar stool and playing for tips.”

Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts are among the other stars who’ve appeared on CMT on Tour treks in the past.

Jake is on the road with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw‘s Brothers of the Sun tour through August 24 and 25 shows at Gillette Stadium near Boston.
