David Nail has teamed up with the Payton Wright Foundation in their fight against pediatric brain cancer for a benefit concert raising money for the Cancer and Blood Disorder Auxiliary of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Dubbed Going Country for a Cure, the show takes place September 26 at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale, PA.
The Payton Wright Foundation was established in Payton’s memory. She died at age 5 in May 2007 after a battle with cancer.
“The story of how brave little Payton was caught my attention, then captured my heart,” David says. “To see this little girl fight so hard, never give up and be so positive… You realize what struggle really is, and you want to do whatever you can so no more children have to face this sort of terrible illness.”
Tickets for David’s show start at $25. A VIP ticket package is also available.
