Carrie Underwood will appear on the new Aerosmith album, Music from Another Dimension, coming in November. She duets with front man Steven Tyler on the song, “Beautiful,” which Steven calls “a country-western crossover ballad” according to Rolling Stone.

Guitarist Joe Perry wasn’t sold on a duet between Carrie and Steven at first, but he loved the song once he heard it.

“Their voices matched up really well,” Joe says of the duet.  “It doesn’t sound forced.  It was just right.”

Lauren Alaina and Johnny Depp also sang backup on sessions for Music from Another Dimension, but their parts may not make the final album.
