Dierks Bentley has recorded his own version of the theme song to Showtime’s Weeds to be used in the show’s eighth and final season.

Dierks’ take on the theme song, the 1962 folk song “Little Boxes,” will be used for the opening later on in the season. Other artists doing version of the song this season include Steve Martin and rock acts Elvis Costello, the Shins and the Decembrists.  Dierks jumped at the chance to record the Weeds theme song.

“I’m a fan of the show and thought the guys in my band could put a cool country spin on it,” said Dierks.  “I think the only other country singer to try this was Willie Nelson…of course.”

Fans can hear Dierks’ version of the Weeds theme song on his Facebook band page.
