Home / Music News / Why Wasn’t Taylor Swift Collaboration on Justin Bieber’s New Album?

In the weeks leading up to the release of Justin Bieber‘s album Believe, Justin said that he’d written a song with Taylor Swift for the project.  However, when the album finally came out, a song with a Bieber/Swift co-writing credit wasn’t among the tracks.

So what happened to their collaboration?  It just didn’t fit the album, according to Justin’s manager.

Scooter Braun tells MTV, “It didn’t go on Believe, because there’s another record they want to work on.  So, it just didn’t make sense at this time, and the song they did just didn’t make sense on this album.”

It’s not clear what Braun means by “another record they want to work on.”  Perhaps the two are planning more co-writes for Taylor’s album, which is due later this year.
