Eric Church‘s video for “Springsteen” was actually based on a 30-minute mini-movie he made about the back story behind the song. That film, called Mixtape, will premiere on CMT Saturday, July 7 at 10:15 a.m. ET. Fans will be able to watch Mixtape on CMT.com after the premiere.
“I’ve gotten a lot of questions about the music video, asking about the actors, where did the scenes come from, what did they pertain to? Well, this movie will clear everything up,” Eric says.
Fans will have a chance to win tickets and meet-and-greet passes to a show on Eric’s Blood, Sweat & Beers tour while watching Mixtape too. In order to win the contest, fans must make note of each song and instrumental track that plays during the 30-minute movie. To enter, visit EricChurch.com or Eric’s Facebook page.
Eric will also be featured on the new special Origins: Eric Church on GAC airing Sunday, July 8 at 9 p.m. ET. Eric reveals how he built his career through playing 200 shows a year and stuck to his guns creatively to become the star he is today.
