Percussionist Daniel de los Reyes is the newest member of the Zac Brown Band, and his playing can be heard all over their upcoming album, Uncaged, due out July 10. He officially joined the group in April but has been on the road with the band for a year now.

Though he’d previously toured with the likes of Don Henley, Stevie Nicks and Jimmy Buffett, Daniel knew he’d found something special when he jammed with Zac Brown Band one night onstage in Northern California.  Daniel tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “I felt more comfortable than any other time in my career. It fit like a glove. It was meant to be.”

As for recording the new album, Daniel says, “I was proud of what I was able to get out of myself. I was able to bring something unique to the album.”

Zac Brown Band’s latest hit, “The Wind,” is included on Uncaged.
