(BUFFALO, N.Y.) — A body believed to be that of Dr. Timothy V. Jorden, a former Army Special Forces surgeon who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend to death at a Buffalo, N.Y., hospital earlier this week, was found near his home on Friday with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ABC News’ Buffalo affiliate WKBW-TV has learned.
The body was dressed in scrubs and was found beside a creek in a wooded area near Jorden’s Lakeview, N.Y., home, WKBW confirmed.
The 49-year-old is wanted in connection to the death of his one-time lover, Jackie Wisniewski, 33, a nursing student who died Wednesday morning on the floor of the Erie County Medical Center.
Considered armed and dangerous, Jorden is the target of a hunt by local, state and federal authorities, including the U.S. Marshals and the FBI.
