BROADWAY–Todd Laymond Brown, 25, of Pinehollow Drive in Broadway has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the Wednesday morning shooting death of his live-in fiance.  According to reports from the Harnett County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the mobile home around 10:32 am where they found the body of 23 year old Adrian Nicole Fitts.  Sheriff Rollins said she had been shot with a rifle, but he would not give details of  how the shooting happened.  He said it was described as an accident, “but accidents are also the results of negligence.”  Investigators searching the residence found opiate drugs and marijuana.  Brown was subsequently charged with trafficking opiates, possessing marijuana with intent to sell and deliver and maintaining a drug house.  Bail was set at $100,000 on those charges and Sheriff Rollins said  bail would likely change with the filing of manslaughter charges.
