SANFORD–During the evening hours of May 29, a group of Southern students decided to trespass on school property and were caught by law enforcement.  Sharon Spence, Public Information Officer for Lee County Schools, said the students claimed their purpose was to vandalize the school to conduct a senior prank.  Once caught, the principal was called to the school to identify the students.  At 11 PM, the principal instructed the students to leave the property and to go home.  Some did, but some regrouped and discussed vandalizing another school location, rival school, Lee County High School.  This time, they damaged the property and now, their graduation participation may be in jeopardy.
