SANFORD–For the second time this month, the Lee County Board of Elections has dismissed complaints filed by members of the Lee County Republican party left over from the May 8 Primary.  Tuesday afternoon, the board, on a two to one vote, dismissed as frivolous,  a complaint filed against a local political action committee by Republican party chairman, Charles Staley.  The motion to dismiss was made by Attorney Jon Silverman, and seconded by chairwoman, Attorney Susan Feindel.  Republican board member Shannon Gurwitch casts the dissenting vote.  The issue has also been filed with the state board.  Earlier this month, the board filed complaints against current school board chairman Shawn Williams.  That complaint, too, was dismissed.
