ABERDEEN–A business operating at 707 S. Pinehurst Street in Aberdeen, was offering more than legal services. Police say it was an illegal gambling operation. According to the Fayetteville Times, the ALE raided the business this week and seized $60,000 in cash, illegal drugs and arrested 20 people. Authorities called it a high-stakes operation. The raid culminated after many complaints were received by police. Those arrested were from several municipalities in Moore County; Wagram, N. C.; Hamlett, N. C.; Wadesboro, N. C.; and Lilesville and McColl, S. C.
