SANFORD-Last month, Lee County Commissioners tabled a request for paving of the back parking lot at Lee County High School, with some board members saying that it wasn’t a priority. After a visit to the school by some of the board members, Superintendent Jeff Moss was invited to the meeting to answer questions concerning the need for paving. The motion by Richard Hayes passed, but not without a lengthy discussion initiated by Chairwoman Shook and Jim Womack. The measure passed 4-3 along party lines plus one. Superintendent Moss said the paving cannot be done while students are in school.
