SILK HOPE–The state Agriculture Department has confirmed rabies in some cattle on a Chatham County farm.  According to the Chatham News, two cows died of rabies last week and testing confirmed that the cows had contracted the disease.  Officials said rabies is present throughout the state and it can be spread to livestock.
