SANFORD–Rain did not damper the spirits of the thousands that attended the eleventh annual pottery festival at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center Saturday and Sunday. They came from many states to sell, to buy, and some, just to observe. According to Don Hudson, founder of the festival, about 75% of the attendees are from outside of Lee County and represent affluent households. He said 60% of the visitors have a household income of $75,000 or more. After an assessment, plans will begin for next year.
