(NEW YORK) — A man’s body was found Sunday morning in one of the barns at Churchill Downs — a day after the Kentucky Derby, authorities said.
The body was discovered just before 5 a.m. in barn no. 8.
Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said it’s too early to determine if the person died of natural causes.
“At this time we are currently awaiting the coroner so that we can have a specific cause of death. Until then that we are treating it as a death investigation,” Smiley said.
